Overview
Hospitals run on data — but most of that data is fragmented across paper charts, disconnected systems, and clinician memory. We built an integrated Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) platform paired with an AI-powered Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) that brings every patient touchpoint into one place and turns historical clinical data into real-time guidance for treating physicians.
The challenge
Government and private hospitals across the region were operating with three persistent gaps:
Fragmented patient records — vitals, labs, prescriptions, and imaging spread across departments with no single source of truth.
Inconsistent diagnoses — junior clinicians lacked structured support during differential diagnosis, leading to variability in care quality.
Slow administrative workflows — admissions, billing, pharmacy, and lab requests handled on paper, slowing throughput and increasing error rates.
What we built
A modular, hospital-grade platform deployable in clinics of every size — from district hospitals to multi-specialty tertiary centres.
EHR / EMR core
Unified longitudinal patient record — demographics, medical history, allergies, immunizations, vitals, lab results, imaging, prescriptions and progress notes.
Role-based access control — doctors, nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists, and administrative staff each see exactly what they need.
Department workflows — OPD, IPD, emergency, OT, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and billing connected end-to-end.
Audit-grade activity logs for every record access and modification, supporting compliance and clinical governance.
AI-driven Clinical Decision Support
Disease prediction — risk stratification models flag patients likely to develop chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular events) based on their longitudinal record.
Differential diagnosis assistance — given symptoms, vitals and history, the system suggests a ranked list of likely conditions for the clinician to evaluate.
Drug interaction & allergy alerts — real-time warnings at the point of prescription.
Clinical guideline checks — evidence-based protocols surfaced contextually during consultation.
Reporting & analytics
Live operational dashboards — bed occupancy, OPD load, lab turnaround, prescription patterns.
Clinical outcome reporting for hospital management and regulatory submission.
Configurable export to national health information systems.
Approach
We worked alongside practising clinicians from day one — shadowing OPD shifts, mapping ward workflows, and validating every screen with the people who would use it. The platform was rolled out in phases (records first, then prescriptions, then CDSS), letting hospital staff build confidence with each module before the next went live.
Impact
Single, accessible patient record across every department — eliminating duplicate data entry and lost charts.
Faster, more consistent clinical decisions through always-available decision support.
Reduced medication errors via automated interaction and allergy checks.
Operational visibility for hospital administrators through real-time dashboards.
A foundation for population-level health insights as data accumulates.
Beneficiaries
Designed for and deployed in government and private hospitals — from district-level facilities to multi-specialty tertiary centres serving thousands of patients per day.
Technology
Web platform built on a modern PHP stack (Laravel) with a responsive interface for desktop, tablet and mobile clinical use.
Secure relational database with full audit trails and role-based access.
AI/ML services for prediction and decision support, callable via internal APIs.
HL7/FHIR-ready data interfaces for interoperability with national systems and lab equipment.
